Pressure's Rising

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

Met with my PD Coach. Completed my first presentation. Stayed up to 4 AM to prepare it. Had lunch with a missionary friend to Nepal. Ate dinner with friends from Egypt and Nigeria. Debriefed with my friend returning from Liberia. Finished the forth required text for my WorldVenture homework. Submitted the accompanying report. Figured out what I'm doing each week for the next year and half. Haven't figured out where I will be going a the end of that year and a half. Filled my car with gas. Scheduled a Mentor and CCD Coach Breakfast Meeting for tomorrow. Attended my Missions Prayer group on Monday. Tutored a 4th grader yesterday. Will tutor an 8th grader today. Taught 4th grade on Monday. Will go to a funeral tomorrow. Finally got seven hours of sleep last night. Feels like I'm still recovering from the New Year all-nighter.

Update this blog. Write that newsletter. Make that phone call. Set up that meeting. Complete that assignment.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

Ever feel like you need a vacation?

Luke 5:16 says, "But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed."

On Sunday I leave for a lonely place. God is good. He will challenge us, stretch us, and bring us to our limits, but then He gives us what we need when we need it. He is faithful. He fills us, renews us, energizes us, and sustains us.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

Psalm 31:15 says, "My times are in Your hands."
