Burmese Lesson #2

Some of my best Burmese teachers were the students I had taught in 2006. In this video, Ja San Mai teaches me the Burmese alphabet. Although there are only 33 letters, this does not include the vowels. There are additional symbols or modifications to the letters that create the various vowel sounds and change the tones (there are four tones in Burmese).
